As reliable as possible. I will try to add as many variants as possible later. Feel free to comment here on any of these aircraft or post your own data, pilot accounts etc.

I was a little surprised they gave even the "average" Wildcat a turn of 5 and roll of 4.

Very Happy

Hi,

I dont understand why the wildcat has such high perf ?

It has same machine guns as p51 but has 8/6/4 fire rating which is huge !

When i do pacific scenarios, it generally explodes the zeroes..
(6 dices at distance 2 seems crazy )

I might be wrong, but it looks this f4f was a bit over rated here..
Confused

The P-51s we have are the B and C (which are the same plane, just manufactured in different plants) which only had 4 guns. The F4F-3 also had 4 guns, so it shares the 6/5/3 rating. The F4F-4 had 6 guns, so it has the extra attack dice. The P-51D was the first Mustang with a 6 gun arrangement.

Thanks for the correction...

indeed,  Embarassed after taking a look at the other F4, that looks a bit more balanced..

Which is fortunate, because I am preparing a PACIFIC CARRIER BATTLE campaign
which would not be fun if the Japanese would be wiped out of the sky systematically..

cheers
