People have PM'd me asking if this is some sort of trick question; It is not. A vessel actually took out a tank on land with a torpedo.

This is correct, this scenerio even made it into a movie. Carry Grant spoted a IJN oil tanker and sank a truck! Sea movie pink submarine. Well worth watching if for no other reason then that!

Correction: The Movie was "Operation Petticoat" with Cary Grant and Tony Curtis. "Father Goose" was the movie where Cary Grant played a drunken American boat captain who was tricked into becoming Austrialian Coastwatcher by Leslie Howard. Both were a riot!!!
