I assume you sent the location of your opponent to Aquarius - he can then confirm where he was ;9
but thats less important - I smelled something fishy about this last game...
I checked the pages and finally found it..
Sorry I said I crippled your St. lo with the Rodneys secondaries, but all I managed was a hit. So she was not crippled when I attacked her - means she still is afloat
YOU won - 1 Objective, bonus points (I have no Surface fleet) + my ships sunk...
Congratulations.... _________________ [img.]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/db/Animated_gun_turret.gif[/img]

Why would you have done this? - you kept the Iowa back as long as it was possible (you should not have retreated maybe when Rodney took the 2nd Objective)
I had Tovey on Rodney and "riked" him, It was the only chance I had.
I made some mistakes - I should have ignored the Wildcats first and should have tried to strafe St. Lo earlier.
IAlso should have switched places for Warspite and Rodney (to center), rodney could have gone for the 3rd objective...
But deciding IMHO was that I often could not abort the Avenger (Warspite killed) and even more that Warspite lacks Torpedo defence.
I also could have tried to stay out of reach of IOWA (Not that it mattered )...
I think its bad enough for you to have lost IOWA... _________________ [img.]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/db/Animated_gun_turret.gif[/img]

I CONCEDE. I BROKE THE RULES. IF LOCKWOOD WAS NOT ON BOARD, THEN SOME OF THOSE SUB SHOTS MIGHT HAVE HIT. YOU WIN. NO FURTHER DISCUSSION!!!!!! _________________ Every day above ground is a good one. |

obviously i meant some of the sub shots would have missed. checked to see wy aquarius did not say i could not have lockwood on a sub. it turns out i never specified where he would be. i just said he was participating. _________________ Every day above ground is a good one. |

Wow guys, calm down.
I've looked through GA Raeder's posts, and nowhere did he specify the admiral had to be aboard a surface ship, but then Packertim didn't tell me which ship lockwood was on. _________________ I have to make a new sig because my old one is too wide for this new look... |

Aquarius, Don't worry. Everybody knows that I conceded. It was an excellent game in which I made some stupid mistakes in the beginning.
There are two good examples why I do not deserve to win. I had two damages on the Iowa before I knew she gad been fired upon. And when he said he crippled the St. Lo by a shot from the Rodney, anyone paying attention would have realized this was not possible. You can vital a ship or you can cause a damage but you can't cripple. But he says I won because of that. If we went back through every game, there are probably many such mistakes (probably none as catchable as this.)
I say that I have conceded and left the match to him. I believe he will have more of a chance to be competitive in the next round. _________________ Every day above ground is a good one. |

I think we both did some - err stupid - things - in the heat of the battle
Actually it was one of the best games of WAS I played in (Admirals certainly enhance the game)
If I have the opportunity to play against him again - happily.
But as he feels he had not deserved victory, I do feel the same _ I have not deserved it - AND making tactical mistakes is one thing, breaking the rules as I did (I did it not on purpose) another, so following the rules - technically HE did win.
if it was possible I'd say we combine forces
funny thing when both sides don't want to win _________________ [img.]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/db/Animated_gun_turret.gif[/img]

I remember reading that you couldn't have your Admiral somewhere and thought it might have been a submarine but it was AIRCRAFT that he couldn't be placed on.
Anyway.... _________________
