| I believe we know there is a new Japanese battleship sculpt, didn't Rich Baker mention that he was wow'd by the pagoda masts on a model he had gotten? |

| Personally, I hope the IJN BB is Nagato. During and after the war, she had what is arguably the most varied and interesting career of any capital ship from that period. |

| Various statements from Rich Baker and the other developers point to the Nagato, but unfortunately I never received 100% confirmation. I'm going to keep the list updated on the Gleemax forum, so keep checking. |

Fuso would be an interesting unit to have. Every time I see a photo of her I find myself wondering, " Good Lord, what were they thinking? " |

After reading that reply, I just had to look it up.
Good God!!

I once PMed Baker about any air support for the Axis Europeans, he said either Germany or Italy would get a fighter.
But this was back in early summer when I thought set would be released in winter 2007

Pretty nice model there. I would't know if it was that much fun to build, but at least the final result has a positive effect.
She was one of Japan's older ships, and in WWII wasn't originally intended for more than patrolling her home waters. But her dice went crooked on her, and she would eventually find herself in Surigao Strait ...
I am not familiar with Fuso's specifications, but assuming the aircraft at her stern is to scale, she look's like a rough equivalent to Tennessee, maybe a bit smaller.
Anyone wanna take a shot at what her card might look like? |

I think they were thinking, lets make a sweet looking boat, then they drank something alcoholic. It's just too cool looking for words. _________________

It's amazing to me those pagoda superstructures didn't topple over in the first storm! _________________

I remember him asking the board members what German fighter we would want if we could get one. I am almost certain there will be one in Set II. If not Set II then Set III since he had to break his original Set II plans in half. He has already confirmed the S.M. 79 and the Hellcat. The Hellcat could just be a repaint of the Wildcat. I am betting there will be a Bf-109. But he may hold it until he does the Graf Zepplin. (Couldn't resist.) _________________

That's not a model, someone just made a 3D model of it and put it on the website. _________________ I have to make a new sig because my old one is too wide for this new look... |

I seem to recall that Rich specifically discussed on some very old post (from the archives - boy sure am glad WotC is throwing them away) the question of whether ju 88C would make an appropriate German naval fighter. This was probably before Set II had been designed, and I know there has been a lot of negative commentary on the boards as to whether it would be a good/legitimate choice - but then there's been a lot of negative commentary on whether any German fighter is legitimate.
My personal bet is that 88c will be in the set - we have to have an Axis-Europe fighter, we already have a lot of Italian stuff, and I think they will want a fighter with more naval "flavor" than Me109, and if my recollection is right, it was in Rich's mind as a potential, and my deep research on Wikipedia doesn't seem to rule it out as an option... |

I believe this was answered somewhere, not sure of the actual stats, but Rich Baker made it seem as if if would be similar in stats to a Wildcat with an SA that makes it much more powerful when attacking enemy fighters.
As an extra question, has anyone been keeping up with Rich Baker's blog? It would be a shame to miss something. _________________
