I knew I should have killed those Partisans in the early rounds!   Laughing

I also needed to watch my LOS more closely.  Better dice would have helped, but there was plenty of "human error" on my part!  Anything else that I need to work on?

your dice rolling!

My M3 Lee was sizzling hot that game.  We started out like an Ali fight... step and jab but nothing really landed.  Then the M3 Lee delivered a left jab to the Lt. and a power right squarely on the jaw of the Sherman.  You can't come back from that without some great luck of your own.  Yours was below average.  Mine was great.  I also had some excellent luck with my Partisans and my Garands.  Not to mention my guys crossed the stream with relative ease.

I was able to get my pieces pretty much right where I wanted them.  Some of that was good movement rolls.  I tried to work the flank with my Lee and give my tank some cover from the Partisans and it pretty much worked.

I didn't feel too bad about putting the Partisans where I did because I realized you could have wasted them on turn 1 if you wanted to.  They were there to slow you down and try and pick on the Bofors.

What can I say... the things I tried worked and many of the things you wanted to do didn't work.  A lot of the was simply the dice.  I should add I started getting initiative right when I wanted it.  In the end you can't defeat good luck.

So I'd chalk that one up as "stuff happens" if I were you.

Thanks for being a good and entertaining opponent.  Maybe we'll have another bout some time.

Doug

Great game both of you. PolishCav, you're through to the final. Congratulations.
