I use citadel colors and valleyo paints, both water-based. |

You used plain paint or did you water down? In my experience it is better to apply several watered down layers than one layer with paint and no water. The paint is less thick and otherwise the paint will cover the intricate details of your ship.
For my Warhammer spacemarines, which where mainly white, I always used a layer of 5. Looked really nice.

Well, for the water I mainly use the drybrushing technique, so I dont water down my paint because I dont want it to flow in the lower areas... _________________ "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven"
