Puket Class (9 in class 1935 - 3 still in service in 1980)

318t - 420t
31knots
3 - 76in AA, 2 - 20mm, 6 - 18in TT

Mains 2/2/-/-
AA 4
TT 2/1/1/-
Speed 2
SA: Chase those Salvos
armour 1 4 1
points 5

Interesting - 2 sunk in action against french, one of which refloated and still in service in 1980.

(the Thai ships had a tendency of rebounding, didn't they)

Valiant Stand, Close Escort, Shallow Draft, High Speed Evasion, Chase the Salvoes?  Something to make it more interesting?  Also, did it carry any ASW armament?  Even an ASW of one or two would give you the ability to harass and make the ship a bit better.

I did want to reopen te lot of them to "shallow draft"

I'm really not sure what RB's intent is involving it.  But as far as larger warshihps go, the Thai navy was rather shallow

draft
Trad/Puket 2.1 m
Sboat 1.5 m
Higgins 78 1.6 m
Type 13 Subchaser 2.75 m

I think it doesn't deserve shallow draft.

Also, I would give it 1/4/1 like the Type 13. Almost identical size/displacement.

Wasn't it too slow for high speed run? Such SAs go to ships at about 36-42 knots.

I was suggesting High Speed Evasion rather than High Speed Run, (I think evasion is the SA that PT boats have).  I suppose it is only speed two, so high speed evasion isn't appropriate, but I'd say chase the salvos could work since they're pretty small targets.  Something to make them a bit more interesting.

Will do. If my backup ever finishes! It has been running for 2 days and I can't access that hard drive until it is finished.  Sad

Okay guys. Here is the card for Trad. My question is which Thai roundel do want to use? I have put both on this card so you can look at them and decide. The conventional 'round' roundel was not used from 1941-1945. The red square roundel with the elephant was used during the war.
