Yeah they'll never believe you went to the hardware store to get a screwdriver for that amount of time. _________________ rcbecker1

just give the wife the checkbook and say, "Hon, you work hard and deserve a day with the girls. Why don't you go out for the day and treat yourself for a change?"
It may cost you an arm and a leg, but can you really put a price on happiness?
Manicure $50
Dooey & Bourke handbag $200
Playing a 5000pt A&A game with your friends while your wife is shopping... PRICELESS. _________________

| I live in southern Wisconsin, Twin Lakes. Might be a bit too far. But I think Gross Admiral Rader on the boards here lives right up that way. I want to say in Waukesha or something along those lines. |

When our games started creeping up beyond 400 points per side, that's when the wife kicked us off the dining room table and exiled us to the basement. Fortunately, a large Hotz map fits a standard pool table perfectly and voila - 1000 point, week long struggles !
Maybe not Barbarrosa, but maybe Operation Market Garden...
I'm near Wisconsin from a continental perspective (1 Border to the North, 1 province to the West...) |

Nope, Saskatchewan is 2 provinces west...
Ontario is due north of Wisconsin, Manitoba is just west...
I'm in Winnipeg, a short 3 hour drive up I-29 from beautiful Fargo, ND...(about 8 hours north of Minneapolis).
650,000 really cold people in the middle of absolutely nothing, but a nice enough place for hockey, curling and beer... |

5000 points....that's about 50 hours. Roughly 100 points per hour of play from me experiments. Imagine...50 hours straight of AAM in one BIG ASS 5000 POINT BATTLE! Now I would need to drink a lot of monsters.... _________________ "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak, Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." - Churchill

Curling - a sport you play that allows you to drink during the game, on the playing surface, and this doesn't negatively impact your playing (rather, it enhances it !).
You gotta love a sport where the standard facility design includes cup holders along the sides of the playing surface...
Essentially it's darts for people who can't be trusted with sharp objects...
The other sport you easily drink and play is golf - also from Scotland - there might be a pattern here... |
