Here's another one that I think would work well for a younger crowd.

Not at all complicated, plays out in an hour. A couple of basic unit types, (INF, ART, CAV etc) and each type gets bonuses based on the terrain it is in. This is just for generic sort of battles, but the battlefield is a bit customizable so there's some replay. Also, the rules are on-line, so you can check it out before you buy (and it's only 20 bucks anyway). _________________

Battletech - 10 Also my first taste at gaming. I love all the detail in the rules. Great system amazing storyline.
At-43 - 8 I really like this game. Some of the best pre-painted minis I've seen and a solid rules system. Its like a 28mm faster version of battletech sort of.
AAM - 8 I love how fast and simple it is yet accurate enough for my taste. I'm just not a fan of collectable type games...but AAM won me over anyway.
LoTR/WoTR - 7 Its a very fun game and even though im not a big fantasy guy the LOTR world and story was always interesting to me.
Legends of the High Seas - 9 I've always been a huge pirate and ever since I discovered gaming I was keeping my eyes open for a good pirate minis game and this was it. The rules are a combination of LoTR and Mordheim with some added pirate goodies such as rules for ship engagements.
Dnd Minis - 5 I got a bunch of stuff for this game cheap and it was fun but It got old real fast. |
