Post subject: Subs and objectives.

Sorry if this has been asked before but it's come up in a match. What effect do subs have concerning objectives.
I know they can't claim them but can they deny them if they sit on them?

No, the only thing a sub can do is prevent an enemy from claiming the objective by sinking them. Otherwise if a surface ship that can claim and objective remains in the objective sector at the end of the turn and no enemy ships are in the sector or adjacent the objective will be claimed.

Whoa, really? I just played (and lost) three games where Subs and Torpedo Boats could deny an opponent from claiming the objective... 
So, Subs cannot prevent claiming an objective if it is in or adjacent to objective? Torpedo boats too?

Stormhawk- I convinced you to play the wrong way then. But since I lost the game anyway, oh well.
It would make sense to me though that subs in a sector can contest the objective. However, I think in game terms it would make subs too strong. |
