Myoko and Nachi: Close enough to represent Takao?
Heck yeah! A 5x2-8" cruiser is a 5x2-8" cruiser.

Yeah, it's tolerable for now.

For both card and miniatures, what's the consensus: are Myoko and Nachi "close enough" to stand in for Takao, Atago, Maya and Chokai until RB cuts a Takao sculpt? (It bears noting that Myoko->Takao->Mogami form another of those "design lineages" I'm so big on, and if it comes down to Takao or both CA and CACV Mogamis, I'd choose the latter for official releases.)

The Takao's had a significantly larger superstructure. I would prefer a new sculpt. And I would like to have it before a hybrid. Standard Mogami's too.

I'd like to see Maya as a separate sculpt by itself using it's late war version after losing C turret to a bomb attack:

8-8"/50 (4x2)
12-5"/40 DP (6x2)
30-25mm AA

Basically similar stats to the Tone, but with better secondaries and perhaps Antiair Barage instead of Scouting.

Maya
Cruiser 1944 20 points
Main: 9/9/8/6
Secondary: 5/5/4
AA:7
Torps: 3/3/2/1
Armor: 4/9/1
Long Lance Torpedos
Antiair Barage - 5 dice

Our player group decided to consider them as a group awhile ago.  There are differences in superstructure between the classes, however as they were all modernized there were as many differences between class  members as between the classes in capabilities. I do hope we eventually get a sculpt for Maya in it's AA configuration, with appropriate stats.

We also consider the Furutaka Class as a group with Aoba.

I really hope we get Mogami as a separate class hopefully in two varients, with Mogami as modified, and a sister ship in the basic configuration.

I really keep my fingers crossed for the Takao-class, they have always been my favorite warships because of the destinct design...
