Carrier aircraft and night time don't fare to well. If its night I only use patrol bombers and a heave surface fleet. Once you loose aircraft things get nasty fast!! LOL _________________ Take a peek at my tradelist:

I think you should choose your fleet and then randomly determine day or night rules. THis forces a balanced fleet or reliance on a lucky draw _________________ Eric

After the choice to allow such things, a roll is made to determine what effects are happening.

WOW that Sucks!
well, I vitaled a Shokaku in the first turn with a stand of SB2 Helldivers. With all of the added dice from SA's I was rolling fourteen dice. All but two of the the dice roll were hits. Most were fives and sixes... My buddy just stood there for a second, his jaw dropped. Looked at the dice roll, shook his head, and stared disbelieving his eyes. Counting and re-counting the dice. Sat down and just muttered to himself for about five minutes.
He ended up losing two of his aircraft from rolling one's to determine if any did not survive... He was not very happy at all... a full third of his air compliment was gone in an instant. I called it the "Midway Effect" His only remaining carriers Akagi and Shoho had to pull double duty now...
OH, on the next turn, I smoked his A6M2 with a hellcat fully beefed with SA's. At which point I was officially removed from his Christmas card list... _________________ The SCA: Just an excuse for getting dressed up in Medieval clothing and beat each other up with padded sticks! |

Except they weren't Axis. Still, that's a lot of points to flush down the crapper. I hope the CV was Saratoga, at least she'd be able to pull some weight as a cruiser. _________________
