From the top:
This is the final creativity challenge.
You have three weeks (up to Nov. 13) to prepare a logo + banner combination for the forumini. Their height must be 150 pixels and their total length (side by side) must be 990 pixels.
Please try to keep the size of these images as low as possible, because they are loaded every time one visits the forumini. A 300Kb .png file simply wouldn't do.
The existing logo is not only welcome, but it's kindly requested to take part, as it is or modified.
Your call to redesign the logo or incorparate the existing one.

There are too few suggestions up to now. We may have to extend it further if we don't get more soon. The logo is quite important. We can't leave it to chance.

So I got to thinking and I can see where the old logo would fit in rather well.
Figuratively, stretch it out. Keep the original text about the same size, maybe relax it a bit in the width department. Resize the windows that show different aspects of the game (so you would see more of the games), keep the Land/Sea balance (its really 2:2 or just look at it as Land/Air/Sea/Game), and instead of the dark grey background tie it together with riveted plate borders and diamond plate (or just sheet metal) behind the text. Now if I had the time or the talent, but someone feel free to take it and run.
Oh and if you need to include the wiki part, i'd just tack it onto the side making it look like part of the webpage instead of the banner.

Postponed to see if we will get more submissions. Some have pm'd me and there will probably be more.
I am a bit disappointed with the number of people showing interest. The whole point of it was that there should be a contest for the logo, but then neither the old logo entered the competition nor many news ones did.

Well if you need more entries I could give it a shot.
I think we should show the forumini andmirals, generals, and our modellers in a logo.
I think it should say something like,
"Enhance your gaming expeirence with the Forumini Andmirals and Generals!"
"Want more variety? Use our custom cards to expand your fleet!"
"Looking for moddeling advice? Our experts would be happy to help you!"
"Try Dreadnought Rising, a WWI nanval game based loosely on War at Sea!"
Make a rectangle, have it divided into eight sections. Top four, On the sea, on the land and in the air, and on a table near you
Bottom four those four sentenses with a picture of a andmiral card, dreadnough risingcard, custom card, and a model made by one of our users,
