Everybody probably complained at least about one Set 1 unit
that had to be cheaper or expensiver.
Also you can vote those units that have a "wrong" SA that had to be removed or edited.
Now you can vote those units that are wrong in your opinion.
Units that are not in the List are already done or editing is running.
After the vote close only the top votes would enter the editing pool (between top five and top ten).

I think that all of the Torpedo Bombers of Set 1 need a look over. Swordfish is way overcosted, Kate isn't as bad but still over, and the Devastator is debatable.

Plenty of units could be changed, it's just a shame that a very vocal minority opposes it and has basically ruined it for me. What started as a project to improve the game for everyone turned nasty because of a few close minded people who never got it through their skulls that the changes were OPTIONAL.

Im looking on using a few revised cards when my gaming circle has started...(not many people here in Phoenix...guess Hell isnt all that great a tourist attraction =P)

This thread hasn't gotten as much response as I expected. It may be because we are already dealing with the units most people consider problems.
There are only seven units that have so far gotten 5% or more of the vote.
Swordfish with 20 votes and 14% of votes is the most obviously in need of recosideration. I think it would be used a lot more if it was priced a bit lower in relation to its vulnerability. Kate with 9 votes, and Devastator with 7 votes are less clear cut cases, where they might get used more if they cost a point lower.
Gloire is already under consideration, and does need to be recosted now that Sufferen costs the same for better stats all round.
Yukikaze probably should be recosted now that Isokaze provides a cheaper and generally better unit. Night Fighter is the only possible excuse for not recosting it. Isokaze with Sub Hunter and one more ASW dice is far more useful, unless you do a lot of night scenarios.
Motor Torpedo Boat seems like it should be a point lower like the USN PT Boat.
Tone with 8 votes (Including one of mine) is more of a close call. I play it frequently even at the current price because of it's SA, but i think it should probably be priced around 21 Points, especially now we have reduced Myoko to 20.
I think the best method to solicit opinion is a vote on points, with no change as one of the options, so anyone who prefers that option has a chance ot express their opinion. |

The Tone's always awesome SA makes it difficult to assign a price too. If you consider 'overpriced' to mean 'inhibits this units chances of being included in a build/used competitively' and then you look at how often Tone is really brought... yeah. That's what I really care about, playability. Gloire is basically unplayed now that Suffren exists, the same has happened with Sydney (which we already recosted) and various sister ships (Graf vs Scheer). Some other units came into the game at uncompetitive prices (Canberra). IMO, Kate is pretty pointless to ever bring for the IJN. I mean, look at what 1 point gets you in a Jill. You get a range 1 torp, an extra DC, an extra VA, and a better but suicidal version of alternate payload. Hell, the Emily is almost a better choice as an attack plane than the Kate. Its 3 points less, better against fighters, and doesn't take up carrier space.
