I put together a couple of simple mods to fix some of the German ship turret Silhouettes.

For Tirpitz (and Bismarck), I added some M3 flatwashers to reposition the turrets placed to low in the original sculpt:

Another view with M3 flat washers installed under the fore and aft inner turrets:

For Sharnhorst, I cut fore and aft-most turret mounts flush with the deck and lopped a bit off of the forward inner turret mount. I replaced (with glue) the original turrets with the taller turrets from some Graf Spee's. (this one repainted with gold tops to look like Gneisenau):

Lastly, I took the unpainted turrets from Scharnhorst and added them to Graf Spee. It gives the turrets a more appropriate lower profile:

Enjoy!
Hap

Ugg. I just found a baggie of the same washers labeled M 2.5, which I think are the right size for the turrets, not M3. Woops. Hope I didn't send anyone on a wild goose-chase..!  Embarassed

Well, if you don't find what you're after, PM me your address. I have a few leftovers I'd be happy to toss in an envelope for you.

This is ridiculously embarrasing, but I was right the first time: the washers are M3..   Embarassed
This time I'm sure.
I also found another bag with a couple dozen in them, so if anyone needs a few, PM me.
