I live in Vermont, and i thought it would be cool to have a model of the USS Vermont. Does anyone who has experience at building want to make her for me? will trade or buy.

Interesting ship, although this is more Drittal's department since he has been building quite a few WW1 era ships as of late.

If Drittal is busy I could give it a shot. I don't have any current projects.

If you haven't seen any of BBOK's work, its worth checking out. I have the pleasure or living near him and get to inspect it first hand. Its very nice. One day I hope to enter the realm of the elite modellers society on this here site. Till then its merely a tale I tell myself at bed time!

I'm semi-Retired.

BBOK is very talented and has the time if you have the dime. Smile

Meaning he doesn't work for contract anymore, just himself, which is honestly sometimes the way to go.

When you stop enjoying it, that is when you need to get out.  Too much on my plate and under contract I feel pressured to finish as fast as possible putting my other Husband/Father/Homeowner duties on hold.  The Mrs doesn't like that.  Not one bit.

But, as one steps down, another steps up.  BBOK is very talented.

She'd be a really easy ship to do.    Good for starters.    The only tricky part would be the cage masts......

Overall a pretty ship.

Yeh, ask one of the modeling peeps on this forum, they iwll tell you how to do it yourself.

don't have to do CageMasts.  When she was in the Great White Fleet she had Military Masts.

Yeah, i would rather have her without the cage masts, like this. http://www.chinfo.navy.mil/navpal...s/battleships/vermont/vt-1907.jpg how much would it cost me to have you make her, battleshipoverkill? also, if anyone else wants to make me customs, i would enjoy it. my fleet currently has no ships that differ at all from how they looked when i got them exept for a Haruna which i tried to turn into an Ise, and a repulse which i broke. how much to people usually pay for custom ships?
