Post subject: F4F Wildcat Repaint

Had a ton of Wildcats and was getting tired of having to pick them up to see if they were Dauntless's or Wildcat's so I repainted them as to how they might have looked at different stages of the war. Early, Mid and Late. Used decals for the roundels.

Actually, lots of gray-and-whites flew off escort carriers for subhunter duty in the Atlantic.

I am working on my Dauntlesses atm. Hope to be done with them in the next day or so. Painted them similar colors but thinking about painting the bases too. Otherwise I am afraid I will be back in the same situation. LOL

Awesome Wildcats! Great repaints!
Diamondback is right. Wildcats, Avengers, Dauntlesses, and I've seen at least one Helldiver marked in the Atlantic camo scheme.

Thanks again everyone!!  All the work I see around here keeps the motivation going. Just that dang time, sleep, work, munchkin thing I haven't been able to figure out yet!

I had them left over from the US Warplane set that I bought from Pacific Front Hobbies. They were from the 1/700 scale aircraft models. Figured might as well use them. LOL There is no way I could have painted them on there.
