Right now I just have my old dining room table which doesn't give me the large, smooth surface I would like to have. What are you using? For a custom solution I think the "Emissary" from Geek Chic looks pretty nice.

Not sure I want to layout $1500+, but it has nice features and doubles as a dining table which would fit my cramped apartment.

That is a glorious web-site.  We need a "forumini approved" links page.  This should be first in the furniture section.

Bar-sized pool table with a cover. Put the board over that.

Of course I haven't actually had room to use it in months.

At home I use hard plastic fold tables I bought at K-Mart.

I use 15mm thick MDF plates  180cm x 120 cm and put them on the top of the normal living room desks.

If I use them not they are placed behind the couch next to the wall.

We use our pool table. It happens to be a light blue colour that goes well with the large Hotz sea hex cloth. It's perfect for WAS...

My wife as a DayCare center in the basement, so, Friday night, it's party time... with plastic toys... on 2x 6' Folding table

This is good with a game mat on top. We got enough freedom to play. If I got only one player I usually unfold only one, but I rather have less space around and more to play, so 2 is good

OWS--

I use the same tables (2), but I put a piece of plywood on top to eliminate the table edge valley and to extend the playing surface.  I put green (or white, for winter) felt on top.  On top of the felt go the hills, buildings, roads, bridges, and rivers.

Since, the next coming Monday, it has to be completely clean, I had no place for a plywood piece on top. But I double the center with a folded mat.
