I like the idea of a league. Make it a slow progress league so everyone can take part. Like one match a month. Whoever wants to admin the league can take names, make a sched, let everyone know who they are playing for that month and away you go. Have it all posted on a league forum thread here at forumini. You get 3 weeks to play your match and the admin has the last week of the month to tally wins/ loses and make new battle sched.
Do the sked by random draw, people may end up playing the same person before they played everyone else but it would be rare and it is for fun anyways so doesn't have to be too technical.
If no one person wants to admin it is simple enough that all people involved in the league could take a turn each month to do the paperwork and just emails the completed sked to the next person who is admin. That person tallies his months matches and then makes the next months sked and emails to the next person etc etc.
Anyone want to expand on it? Lets get it going before Sept =) |

or how about this. Make it like a football season. Random draws for oponents per round, 16 rounds per season, can even do a playoff if you want.
When all matches are done for a round a new sked can be made out, rather than waiting a month. You still have a month to complete but if all matches are complete before months end you can just start the next round. |

I'm game, and still wondering if we are going to finish that Historical series you started.

I like the league idea. It is not that complicated and perhaps after the Admirals cup, people will be warmed up and ready to do this.
We could easily get a dozen people in too. |
