But, I was reading through the forum the other day and came across "project habakkuk". And as I was reading someone mentioned that the fact that it would be able to base patrol bombers would be useful. So, my question to you is: does this mean patrol bombers can't normally be based on carriers? If so, I can't believe I never heard or saw this before...and a lot of games have been played askew  Confused

Patrol Bombers cannot based on Carriers.  It is in Page 31 of the rulebook under the Carriers section.

Give me a time machine, some duck tape, and lots of late- war unguided rockets and I'll do my best.

It actually existed at the time - RATOG.

Rocket Assisted Take Off Gear. I believe both the Allies and the Germans experimented with it, the German version was powered by hydrogen peroxide.

I thought so too, until I tried it in the Deathmatch tournament... people were not happy.
