Post subject: Fun 100pt 1941 German vehicle-dominant build
|

I played this 100pt build last night...and lost...but still had a lot of fun! I want to try it again, play it differently (and roll differently too).
3 - Panzer III Ausf. Fs (13 pts. ea.) = 39
2 - PzKpfw 38(T)s (10 pts. ea.) = 20
1 - Panzer II "Flamingo" = 14
1 - Panzerspahwagen P204 (F) = 10
1 - SdKfz 251 Halftrack = 7
1 - MG 42 (mounted in halftrack) = 10
My opponent played Soviets, and I made the mistake of allowing him to bring T-70s even though they are 1942 units. Them little buggers with armour 4 in the front and speed 5 managed to run circles around me while I, hampered with bad rolls, couldn't even disrupt the dang things (which really screws with 'em!). Meanwhile his PRTD antitank rifle & Maxim machine gun (!) started to slow down my armour and eventually I lost.
I guess I should have taken care of the MG & PRTD first, and then tried to run those dang T-70s down. Because with them out of the way, I could easily sit back and shoot his infantry to skeet while they slogged their way across the field without a living officer to release them from command dependence.
I wonder how I would fare with a Panzer III swarm? Oughta look into that sometime... |

Try a 38(t) swarm instead...add an ammo dump and maybe a fuel depot and those little tanks are pretty sweet! Same AI dice as any larger tank plus movement 4....and Robust SA. That's my favorite Axis light tank... _________________

Go to Miniature Market on the web. They got the best deals I've found. _________________ Give full respect... each person will whittle it down to what they want. |
