Hey, afilter,
I recognize many of those figures from the various companies.
Nicely done.
I have been painting 15mm ACW for YEARS and I have several Fire and Fury brigades. I dusted them off and played this weekend.
The Gallant Southern Defenders repulsed the Yankee Aggressors in grand style (and it wasn't me rolling the dice).

Anyway, Fire and Fury rules are simple and quick (like A&A) and fun to play.

I'd probably play more if I didn't have to set up 3D terrain.
I like the appearance, but it takes time to set up and take down.

How do I post pictures without posting them on Photobucket first?

Yep, I own Fire and Fury along with the two scenario books.  I also tried my hand at Johhny Red and very early "On to Richamond".  I was in the process of graduating to "Fields of honor" last I played as that is what the LGS uses..

This past weekend I reclaimed my mancave (aka cleaned the basement) and found all my unpainted minis (drawers full) as well as rule books.  It is tempting to paint now that I have an area to do it, but I think they are all going to find their way to auction. Rolling Eyes

Here are the unpaited.  at least a couple of Corps worth:

Is this what you are looking for(12 figs plus a command stand):

Cool use of the old Britains.  Cool

If you are in need of more I just listed my childhood collection on Ebay.

My idea of Wargaming when I use to play with these is setting them all up with my Uncle and rolling a ball back and forth to knock them over. Wink

I sold many of the others I had a long time ago, but saved these and played the same game with my boys when they were younger.

I am just getting into Johnny Reb III. There are 3 of us locally that want to play the game.

I have been wargaming for 17+ years and known 100+ gamers and none have every done ACW I don't think there is much interest in the era. But Johnny Reb does look nice

Granted I was trying to figure it out on my own, but I found Johnny Reb a little complicated.  Fire and Fury was is first choice for ease of play and simplicity and then Fields of Honor(Not in Print) that the LGS introduced me to.

I have look thru the rules no where near ready to play a game but I got lucky with Pentacon coming up in 3 weeks and about 2 miles from my house. They have 2 games and I will be playing in those to learn the game.

I have found that is always the best way.  Watching and participating in a actual game are so much better than reading and trying to visualize.

I like the lardies rules.(Actually I'm coming to like them for everything but ancients.) With the Perry plastics it's a project that's within reach as well.

I was just at the FLGS yesterday and they had a ton of the Armies in Plastice 54mm sets.  I had not really seen these before.  Look like nice figures.

It was tough to put down the "Iron Brigade" set and walk away. Rolling Eyes

How do these compare to the old ImEX stuff...at first glance the look nicer.  Anyone painted any?

Yup. I've got some AIP Zulu war Brits in 54mm that I'm getting rid of as part of my downsizing. They've got pretty good detail and not much flash. I'd rate them about 20% better than Britain's Deetail, and about the same size.
