A fair number of those have already been posted for review. The problem isn't the plans, although the top view can be a real pain to find, it's the costs. Capitol ships are relatively easy, cruisers less so, and destroyers damn near impossible, at least for those of us who depend largely on Conway's and on-line resources for their information.
By the bye, the Gaydamak whose picture you posted was sunk at Port Arthur in 1904 and salvaged by the Japanese, who put it in service in their own navy. This is a problem with a lot of late 19th and early 20th century ships; they had short service lives and the names were recycled very quickly, sometimes while the ship was still in service, e.g. the Austro-Hungarian central battery ship Tegethoff, renamed Mars in 1912 so the original name could be used for a dreadnought. _________________ LT

A few ships can be dropped from the possible Russian units, mostly because they were sunk by the Japanese.
Sunk during Russo-Japanese
Vladimir Monomakh
Admiral Ushakov
the Emperatora Alexandra III doesn't seem to exist but the Imperator Alexander III (identical picture) was sunk at Tsushima
Gaydamak
Knyaz Suvarov
Navarin (a later Navarin was laid down in 1916 but never completed - see below)
Petropavlosk (predread)
Retvisan (raised by Japanese & renamed Hizen)
Sissoi Veliki
The Borodino-class battlecruisers, incuding Izmail and Navarin, were launched but never completed. _________________ LT

I don't think they need be dropped just because they didn't make it to the war, do they, I mean a rules that work for one pre-dreadnought should work for another. I know we're just shooting for a basic set to start with, but I felt like doing something and thought that this was one of the hang-ups.
You were involved in this later than I was Brass, how many ships and what ship-types do you think we still need before we complete a sort of 'set I.' Then I can channel my energies a little more constructively. _________________

I agree, could make some interesting battles if you want to do a scenario from that period, or go alternative history route. _________________ Always Flying. Always Fighting. RIP JIMMY.

Russo-Japanese War ships are fine by me. I just thought we were going to get World War I going first.
For a playable Set I, the British need more battlecruisers - they can currently only build the 3 Invincibles out of a total of 12 BCs that saw action while the Germans can build 6 out of a total of 7 that saw action. The Brits also need more armored cruisers - at least two classes- and the Germans need Blucher; the Germans only had 9 armored cruisers total and only three (Scharnhorst, Gneisenau, and Blucher) ever traded shots with the enemy, while the British had a large number available.
Both navies could use a another light cruiser or two and both need destroyers.
I have no idea where the alpha versions of the cards are hanging out these days but there is a card already made for Blucher that just needs some fiddling with its gunnery factors to make it complete. This would make available all the German dreadnoughts, all the battlecruisers and armored cruisers that actually saw action, and the predreads that fought at Jutland. Add a couple more CLs and some destroyers and you have the High Seas Fleet.
Also lurking among the alpha cards are BBs Queen Elizabeth, King George V, Revenge, and Neptune, and BCs Indefatigable and Lion. The Brits should probably get Tiger as well.
I'm trying to figure out the Italians, French, Austro-Hungarians, and Russians.
As I mentioned above, getting stats for these ships is not really a problem. Getting construction costs for the smaller ships is. As long as we use construction cost as point value we're not going to see many destroyers on the table. _________________ LT

Well, there you go. Now all we need is a volunteer to do the new cards and revamp some of the old ones. Lacking the skills, software, and computing power to do it, I'm out but there must be someone out there who can. _________________ LT

I had a template for the alpha cards, but not for the Beta ones. I'm pretty slow as far as card making goes, but in the absence of an expert I could do it. _________________
