Post subject: US Fleet 300 points

Here is my fleet.
I am planing on using it split into Three parts
Part 1
USS saratoga
USS Atlanta
2 SBD Dauntless
TBF Avenger
F6F-3 Hellcat
F4F wild cat
PBY Catalina
Part 2
USS Washington
USS Iowa
USS Baltimore
USS Salt Lake City
USS Laffey
USS Hoel
Part 3
2 USS Barb
Part one will hang back and use the planes to kill what I can. The Catalina I will use to go after any subs that are alone. I am pretty sure the Atlanta, Saratoga and the wildcat should keep all them safe from Air.
Part Two might split the battle ships if the enemy is spread out to help grab Objs.
Part Three subs will just fill in where they can do damage but not get killed.
I will keep two ships in a square so they are not alone. I thought about breaking off the Baltomore and another to protect part one but I don't think I will need to.
Any thoughts? |

Nice and well rounded. This fleet should be able to hold its own against just about anything. _________________ TimK

I would make one, well, two changes. Drop Laffey and Hoel for a pair of Kidd's, and with the two points saved, swap Salt Lake City for San Francisco. Extra two points of initiative from flotilla leader, good for an air heavy build. _________________

| I'd Drop the Baltimore for a Princeton an upgrade the Salt Lake to a San Fran that way while Baltimore is an impressive cruiser having an extra fighter and dive bomber with experts every turn is more effective. |

Thanks for the feed back.
I like the Laffy because of the ranged AA guns. I could drop the Hoel for a Fletcher and get the two points for the San Francisco upgrade.
I like a rounded list that will put up a tough fight and that was my goal. |
