Post subject: Recommendation?: overview book about WWII naval warfare
Okay, I admit it. looking at all of the WAS customs/mods in the modelling thread has generated an interest I didn't have before in the "wet" side of WWII.
Can anyone recommend a REALLY GOOD, VERY READABLE book that presents an overview/provides a basic foundation for understanding naval warfare in WWII? _________________

Richard Worth, Fleets of WWII
Rodney Bennett, Naval Battles of WWII
There are a few good ones about individual battles, but for the "macro view", these are good start-points. (The former written by a Forumini member who used to be a prolific poster.) _________________ <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

For battles and actions involving the Royal Navy's Capital Ships, an excellent book called "The Great Ships Pass" Is very detailed. _________________ Darn the Torpedoes; full speed ahead!
