Post subject: Question for Someone That Has Conway's

Quick question... Does Conway's consider the Aoba-class in a separate class from the Furutakas? Or is there any place at all that considers these two classes as one?

Two separate, but...
"...were improved Furutakas." Almost all of the design improvements introduced on Aoba were retrofitted during extensive reconstruction in '36-'39, and the biggest difference I can see in the profiles of '39 Furutaka and '45 Aoba is the catapult and aft deckhouse have traded places.
For game purposes, they're identical, and as sculpts for their wartime appearance nearly so aside from the deckhouse/cat issue.
