Post subject: Allies fleet for upcoming battle

Large double map, 200 points, with 3 objectives, against an experienced axis player. Allies power air fleet:
HMS Ark Royal 22 pnt
USS Yorktown 23 pnt
F6F-3 Hellcat 2x 20 pnt
TBF Avenger 4x 56 pnt
USS Alaska 28 pnt
USS Cleveland 16 pnt
HMAS Arunta 7 pnt
Sea hurricane 3x 15 pnt
PBY Catalina 2x 14 pnt
Total 201 pnt
Anybody any suggestions to make the fleet stronger. I don't know what I'm up against. Always a surprise.

Your only way to make damage to battleship are the 4 avenger: it's imho not enough in 200pts.
Against a japanese swarm your fleet won't do enough damage too ( avenger not good for this.
I will change this:
USS Alaska 28 pnt
USS Cleveland 16 pnt
HMAS Arunta 7 pnt
For 3*Dauntless or a little Battleship. |

You really need something that can get to an objective and sit on it for a turn or two without getting swatted. Alaska and Cleveland together are no match for any 50+ point Battleship, even with Avenger help.
Axis attack aircraft are not strong, whereas their subs are the best. Torpedo defence is almost essential. |

HMS Ark Royal 22 pnt replace with Illustrious save 2 points
USS Yorktown 23 pnt
F6F-3 Hellcat 2x 20 pnt one Hellcat exchange with wildcat save 3 points
TBF Avenger 4x 56 pnt
USS Alaska 28 pnt cut out completely save 28 points
USS Cleveland 16 pnt cut out complete save 16 points
HMAS Arunta 7 pnt cut out complete save another 7 points
Sea hurricane 3x 15 pnt cut off replace them with 2 wildcat save 1 point
PBY Catalina 2x 14 pnt
Total 201
total save points are 57 -1 that topples the 2oo limit and you can add a
Washington or a Massasussets.

HMS Ark Royal 22 pnt
USS Yorktown 23 pnt
F6F-3 Hellcat 2x 20 pnt

Richelieu 55 pnt
HMAS Arunta 7 pnt
USS J C Butler 6 pnt
Sea hurricane 5 pnt
PBY Catalina 7 pnt
Total 201 pnt
This way I have a battleship besides a strong airforce.
