Hello,
I thought the only errata to the hellcat was VA of 9 instead 10. How come people keeep talking about it not having the +2 bonus against fighters.

That is the only errata I am aware of. It should get +2 against fighters, so atleast 10 dice + any other expert fighter SAs. _________________ Aaron

The +1 instead of +2 is a popular houserule but nothing more than that. Now that the Japanese got the +1, this houserule will start disappearing too. _________________

I´m probably in the minority, but is the Hellcat errata really justified after the A6M5 and Soryu appeared in set 3?
Those extra 3 points are a lot since now there is actually a chance the IJN gets 9 hits on AA.
The Hellcat doesn´t give me the right "feel" when it has the same VA as the laboring Wildcat. Something tells me it should be a lot tougher to bring those Hellcats down. |

| Personally, I think the Wildcat should be more like the Martlet with VA8 and Rugged. That would leave room for the Hellcat would be tougher than its older cousin. |
