Post subject: Cuban navy expansion program

Fleets of World War II mentions an expansion program in the entry for Cuba. "An expansion proposal - an ambitious program to include a 4,000-ton cruiser, two sloops of 2,000 tons each, and two of 1,000 tons - died young."
I'm wondering how far along this expansion program got before dying. Probably American-built ships, but I don't know what a 4,000-ton American-built cruiser would have looked like. |
