Post subject: Predecessor for MG 42 & Panzerfaust 30

| What were the predecessors for Germany's MG 42 and Panzerfaust 30, respectively? What SA, costs, & attack values would you give each? Were the predecessors in use continually after the issuing of the MG 42 & Panzerfaust 30? |

Ok, so I found that the MG 34 was the predecessor of the MG 42. Both were recoil operator and used the 7.92x57mm Mauser cartridge. However, the MG 42 was roller-locked and fired between 1,200 and 1,500 rpm and the MG 34 was not roller-locked (from what I've gathered) and fired 800-900 rpm. So what SA, costs, and attack values should the MG 34 have?
The predecessor of the Panzerfaust 30 was the Faustpatrone. Both appeared in 1943, but the Panzerfaust 30 was produced in greater numbers. Since both entered service at the same time, there is no need for me to create a Faustpatrone card. |

| To my knowledge, the Sandbagged Machine Gun team represents the MG34 in AAM. Evidently they didn't think the reduced rate of fire warranted lower stats than the MG42. Beyond that, Sharpe might have an MG34 card with nifty stats, not sure at the moment (i.e., am too lazy to check my Sharpedia CD!). |
