Post subject: Lend Lease equipmnt info

does anyone know a good place to find out all the kinds of military equipment that was lend leased to other countries during WWII, I'm trying to find out mainly what other countries tanks/AT guns/AA guns etc were used by mostly the French, but also by other countries (not so much Russians, as I know they practically used everything)

It might be easier to research the units you are most interested in and see if anything is mentioned about who used it. For instance, if you are interested in using the M4 Sherman with other Allied nations you can research the Sherman and try to find out what other countries used it, and so on. Here is what I have found so far:
M4 Sherman (US)- used by USA, UK, Canada, China, Russia and others (don't know about France)
40mm Bofors L60 (UK)- used by UK, Canada, China, Russia, USA, possibly more.
Quad 50 (US)- USA, Russia
40mm Pack Howitzer (US)- used by USA, China
M5 Half-Track (US)- used by USA, Canada, UK, Free French, Russia
Vickers Machine Gun (UK)- used by UK and Canada
Thompson Sub-Machine Gun (US)- used by USA and UK
For China you can use the T26B from 1939-1945 with the Set II T26 Series 1933 card. Russia also sold China BA-64s, T34/76s, IS-2 Model 1944s, & ZIS-5 3 Ton trucks.
That is what I've gathered so far. Some of the above equipment may have been used by other nations as well. |
