Post subject: [100PT] Italian Build
|
|
|
Went with an Italian build using the Advance Rules with 05/26/2009 update and Revised Cards.
[26PT]Semovente 90/53
[28PT] Semovente 75/18 x2
[8PT] Autoblinda AB41
[14PT] 47/32 Antitank Gun x2
[8PT] Breda Modello 37
[7PT] Stalwart Hero
[9PT] Fucile Modello1891 x3
[100PT]
Premise of the build is to have a balanced force to deal with all comers. Semovente 90/53 gives long range tank busting power. Semovente 75/18 used as mobile tank deter/engage advancing tanks. ATG to create firing lane and moving issues for opposing force. Also, a backup for anti-tank action.
Autoblinda to pick-off opposing artillery/soldiers/snipers if needed. MG, Autoblinda, Soldiers and Semovente 75/18 can be used to deal with any aircraft. _________________ James 1:17

I think I'd go:
3x Semovente 75
1x Autoblinda
2x MG
1x Hero
6x CCNN
3x Tank Traps
That doesn't hurt your strengths, but it eliminates some weaknesses. The big Semovente is especially vulnerable to air attack and I fear you don't have enough to protect it. You also need more anti-soldier shots unless you play against armor heavy forces all the time. _________________

No. Just their
In a 100PT, I'm not too sold on the fear the plane because it's not cost effective to fit it in. By putting it in it leaves ~80% points left over for other stuff. Also, if you have enough Anti-Soldier units you should have enough firepower to take it down.
Maybe my initial build might not have this. One MG and Autoblinda maybe enough though. Have to give some more thought in the build and suggestion. _________________ James 1:17

It's a good build.
My only suggestion is that you try to get an extra MG in there, maybe by dropping an AT gun and a Modello 1891, replace with a conscript |

Build take two:
[42PT] Semovente 75/18 x3
[16PT] Autoblinda AB41 x2
[14PT] 47/32 Antitank Gun x2
[8PT] Breda Modello 37
[20PT] Blackshirts x5
[100PT]
Kept the ATG to hinder movement and provide back-up for the Semovente 75/18 because of flammable and their low armor (Rather than just relying on Close Assault as back-up).
Instead of going for an extra MG, I went with an extra Autoblinda because of the mobility/strike-in-fade and it basically can function as a MG minus the double-shot. _________________ James 1:17

I like it more than the first, but I'm still not a fan of AT guns. Very vulnerable, virtually immobile, and not very versatile. I would prefer a fourth semovente, but that's just an opinion. _________________

Yeah, ya maybe right on the extra Semovente 75/18 other than the ATGx2. The flammable is a concern for me if going second. The Italian ATG is 'more' versatile compared to the other ATG (AI 6/5/4). The new Russian ATG in EF rocks in my book though. _________________ James 1:17

If the other player goes first all the time hoping to trigger FLAMMABLE, that gives you an advantage you can use to gang up on his tanks one by one. Or you can pick off his infantry. Make even the bad SA's work for you.
6/5/4 against 4/4 infantry requires more providential intervention that I have a right to ask for. _________________

i like both your builds. the first one can easily deal with tanks but the 2nd one is overall better. i'd take the artilery to give you some fire if you need to fall back and regroup. however, in that 2nd build your AI conscipts can easily be taken out so I'd take 3 fucile modellos instead. _________________ "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak, Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." - Churchill
