I think at this point we now count up the points that each army still fields, and whoever has the greater number wins.

Not to be rude, but I won in both. You killed two of my units, I believe I killed 5 of yours. And I field way more points than you do presently.
Germany may have lost the war, but she lost few of the battles.

Advance Rules p7
If neither player has won at the end of turn 10, count the point costs of the units on the battle map and any surviving Aircraft that were placed at least once. The player whose units are worth the most points is the winner.
