thanks for the kind words, unfortunately this project (Leningrad) and the Tobruk one are on hold for a few weeks since I cannot find the time to test and balance them. _________________ Custom AAM Maps & Counters here

Hello Baron,
i'd be happy to try your Leningrad scenario map (even just to mess about with a different line up of my own).
what kind of rares are you after? _________________

Before posting the details for Op. Sunflower - Libya 1941 ( http://aaminis.myfastforum.org/about7244.html ) - that will happen tomorrow , I had the opportunity to do a little practical pre-design for my Barbarossa / Leningrad map scenario.
I had a little game USSR 200 pt vs 220 pt Axis combined force, year limit 1942 - historical background. USSR defending Leningrad (actually two objective hexes - red marker), Axis attacking.
The USSR player decided on a tank heavy build (2x T34, 1x KV1, 1x AMMO, 2x Heavy mortar, 1x hero, 1x cossak cpt, 1x sniper, 1x artillery in pillbox, the rest being grenadiers, nagants and partisans).
Axis decided to go all infantry - no vehicles or artillery what so ever. The reason being that the battle would have been more into the medium/close range with lots of cover places. SS Stormtroopers, SS Panzergren's , 2x SS Hauptst, Romanian Grens, 1x Fucile, Mauser Kars, 2x Vet Paratroopers, German Hero, 1x MG42, 1x Pioneer, 1xFlammenwerfer, all in all 40 infantry pieces + an AMMO dump).
The Axis (brilliantly led by the RedBaron) had a little problem entering the town, we had to pass through clear hexes in front of the enemy guns, but that achieved, the things got worse for the defenders.
Though a little mobility in the Axis build wouldn't have hurt (as the Baron's allied player pointed out), the game was won, because the USSR player ran away with it's tanks rather than lose them, ran to fight another day.
Unfortunately no finish troops in this game, but they look awesome in the "snow", I give you that. A real scenario for this map will be soon posted here and it will have finnish troops.
I use this chance to announce here also that I have a copy of the 4 maps for trade, since one of my trades did not... come through unfortunately. The maps are plotted at maximum quality that my plotter can achieve, just see the pics in the topics below.
I am open to trades, just PM me. If someone wishes to take over all the maps (4 maps), maybe we can negotiate something in this case.
My trade topic: http://aaminis.myfastforum.org/about6953.html
1. France 1940 Scenario Map: http://aaminis.myfastforum.org/about8050.html
2. France 1944 Scenario Map: http://aaminis.myfastforum.org/about7961.html
3. USSR 1941 Scenario Map: http://aaminis.myfastforum.org/about7156.html
4. Lybia 1941 Tobruk Scenario map: http://aaminis.myfastforum.org/about7244.html
Thank you for listening.
One last ... news: a Jungle map will be very very soon released by the Baron. It should prove to be the map/scenario you dreamed of, but never played Talking about high standards

Well you guessed it right! It was either that or the "Stalingrad" one.
Did not want to post it yet because the scenario is not ready and... too many of my posts around here anyway _________________ Custom AAM Maps & Counters here

Stalingrad is too 'Death Metal' for me, I like this one better. If I can get the maps sometime (contacted Sharpe btw) I would help playtest the scenario or anything! _________________

Man this video totally RULES!!!
It's a perfect match to the Song and for the future scenario also, though the scenario is not the Kursk battle!
Good pick SPanther! Good pick! _________________ Custom AAM Maps & Counters here

Scenario (initial) details posted - deployment maps to follow tomorrow.
Hit refresh and see the first post.
I would like to thank the forum users that gave me some feedback and helped decide this as a Leningrad scenario and not a Crimea one.
Also, I had to change the Soundtrack to the "Stalingrad theme" because it was more appropriate then the "panzerkampf" from the Battle of Kursk (sorry Steel Panther). _________________ Custom AAM Maps & Counters here

And what's stopping you?
-------
Last update for the 1st post for now - hit refresh. Attached the deployment maps with all the areas and objectives that are spoken in the Scenario.
Looking in depth at the Builds I found a few small bugs, for example 4th Panzer should have a "deathwish" restriction of some sorts; for the German Reserves in 43 a Spotter could be added, but... you have the freedom to modify the Scenario as you like.
For now this is all, a few new pics from the test games for this scenario I may add, I know pics are always welcomed.
Baron out. _________________ Custom AAM Maps & Counters here
