What is the trick about avatars?
I've tried to upload a pic from photobucket that I resized to under 150 x 150 pixels.
which do I copy from in photobucket?
email & im
direct link
html code
img code
I've tried them all and none seem to work.
There is nothing to indicate how large the file is in MB
I can only go by the pixel size that I've set in photobucket for the pic.
So, what is the trick??? _________________ The SCA: Just an excuse for getting dressed up in Medieval clothing and beat each other up with padded sticks! |

you should be putting direct link into the Link to off-site Avatar: field.
The other way (easier way) is:
1) if you don't have the image saved on your computer, right click on it and select Save Image As and then save the image to your computer.
then
2) use the Browse feature in your profile settings to upload the image for use.
Also if you're concerned the file size might be too large, with it saved to your computer you can right click the file, click on Properties and you'll find the file size there.
Let me know if that works. _________________

I've tried that and I would get an error, then after trying it again after your post, it worked. perhaps the problem may have been on the forum side. Thanks Bond Boy it seemed to have finally worked. I did not know which of the options to use. _________________ The SCA: Just an excuse for getting dressed up in Medieval clothing and beat each other up with padded sticks! |
