Post subject: New to the game? New to the forum?

You may want to start with the quick start guide and initial official rulebook. Since 27 Jan. 2009, the official rules are the REVISED, which include a completely revised set of cards for ALL units and new stacking rules (e.g. now it's 3 friendly soldiers per hex).
For scenarios and campaigns, Pasalades has compiled lists of the ones that you must try.
If you want any rule clarification, you can use this place for immediate response in the next few minutes, or the official WoTC service for a definite ruling on more controversial cases.
Most start with one case of 12 boosters and then buy from ebay. You can also try the marketplace to exchange with other fans, which has now become the most common way to acquire new units at minimum cost.
Don't forget to visit the Modelling house to see how others modify/repaint their miniatures. Use this service to find others AAM players in your area.
If you get bored with the official cards and rules, you may want to try the superb and more historically accurate HHRCz complete cardset or the new Forumini Armies project, and of course the very new Forumini Generals deck, which add subfactions for each faction.
Make sure you don't miss the AAM online Olympic tournaments that are currently in progress in the Forumini. You can play online AAM in the relevant subforum. _________________
