Custom unit designed for Bounce the Rhine Scenario which I'm hoping to GM during the upcoming 2017 Fall In! convention happening in November, 2017.

I found card designs by other individuals and used them as a starting point for my own version. Once I have enough comments / feedback giving approval I will produce the unit card and post it here.

What do you think? Is it balanced in terms of cost? Any concerns or questions? Looking for feedback.

SdKfz 251/9 “Stummel”
Nationality: Germany
Vehicle - Halftrack

High Gear 1 - If this unit makes its entire move along a road, it gets +1 speed.

No Turret - This unit can attack Vehicles only if they are in front of this unit.

Awareness 6 - This unit can make a 6 dice defensive-fire attack against Soldiers entering its hex.

Year available: 1942
Cost: 11
Speed: 3
Defense: 2/2
AI: 8/8/7
AV: 8/7/6

Schützenpanzerwagen (7.5 cm KwK37). Equipped with a 75 mm L/24 low velocity gun, using the same pedestal gun mount employed on the StuG III. Nicknamed "Stummel" ("stump"). In 1944, a revised modular gun mount was introduced to facilitate production that also incorporated a coaxial MG42. This universal gun mount was also used to create the Sd.Kfz. 250/8 variant and the Sd.Kfz.234/3.

Here is an alternate set of stats for this vehicle. Which do you prefer? Version one with Awareness? or version two with Strike and Fade?

I think the "strike and fade" ability lends itself better to this type of unit due to the low defense value.

Ok, so version two is your vote Maus. Keep everything as is or alter some stats in version 2?

Keep it as is Sgt. (Noticed you have High Gear 2 on that and it reads +1 speed).

So here are the stats with flavor text added. My upcoming scenario is set in March 1945. Should this unit's start year be 1942 or should it be 1944 to reflect the addition of a newly added modular gun mount with coaxial MG42 which were added to some of these units in 1944?

Making it 1944 would make this a late war unit. Or should I just stick with 1942 to make it available in mid war scenarios?

Nicknamed Stummel (stump), this Schützenpanzerwagen was equipped with a 75 mm L/24 low velocity gun using a pedestal gun mount. In 1944, it was revised with a modular gun mount incorporating a coaxial MG42.

Here is the original text that I found on Wikipedia which I edited down to what you see above:

Here is the site where this came from:

Here is a picture of this 1944 version with the MG mounted above the 75mm gun:

Here is a picture showing the C and D versions of the Sd Kfz 251/9 side by side. The grey one is the C and the brown one is the 1944 D version. You can see the added coaxial MG mounted on top.

Looks good. You know you could put (early) for this one and put (late) for the other one that has the mg 42. give the (late)7/7/6 for the Anti infantry value and increase the points to 13. Just a thought.

What start year would you give for the early and late versions of this vehicle?
