Just ordered the 3rd edition rulebook and some Finns. Also bought some older themed books and 3 CW Rifle companies at a local (relatively) gameshop for a big discount. One Rifle coy will be UK, one Canadian, and one will be the Irene Brigade. Adding trucks and equipment from third party sellers, not willing to spend a fortune if cheaper equivalents are available Wink

Lol, there will never be an end to wargaming!
I also have the 3rd edition book, as well as a couple of additional sourcebooks. All very beautiful, but...

choke choke... I play AAM and wish that WotC supported their game the way FoW is supported.  Part of the reason I ended up playing Bolt Action as my second game.

Despite the great support it gets, FoW isn't it for me, too. I'm eyeballing and trying out Bolt Action, Chain of Command and Crossfire. All three are still supported, although in different ways.

At the next Crisis convention, I'll try to visit the Lardies / Chain of Command stand, as I expect that CoC will be the winner for me

Since the dust tactics-bf debacle i am not buying stuff from them anymore. Sad

I like their scenery very much. I use it for AAM.

Hello,
I play FOW. I got into it when I got a FOW King Tiger to mach a card that I had someone give me for AAM and it drew my interest. I now have a modest little British and German start. I need to get an open fire set and a British HQ and I should be set for basic infantry and tank games. I dont have too much variety in troops though. My germans can go mounted in halftracks and my Brits have mortars and machine guns. As for tanks I have Cromwells and Shermans for Brits and PZIVs, a few Panthers, five Tiger I's and two King Tigers.

I am in the process of gathering the support for my FOW LW British Rifle Coy (Overlord) and in the mean time starting with the German Panzerkompanie Hummel for Market-Garden (Bridge to Bridge book). Good thing is I can use the vehicles for AAM and other games as well, although I doubt I would ever deploy 18 Tiger Is in AAM ( the full complement of Tigers in the PzKp Hummel) It looks impressive though Wink ( and good for turnover at PSCo)

I never played FOW, the rulebook is indeed somewhat intimidating Wink

My preferences are AAM, Toyama's hexless rules, CoC, BA and Crossfire (not to forget AGGRO for rioting)

I am not sure in the USA,

but I am sure you can find Zvezda mini's somewhere in the US.

www.zvezda.org.ru.

Only disadvantage is that guns and soldiers are 20mm....

The Plastic Soldier Company also makes lovely 15mm and 20mm kits.

www.theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk

Also Old Glory is worth while checking.

Skytrex and TSS  http://totalsystemscenic.com/ also have lovely models, cheaper than FoW.
