Hello Everyone,

Was wondering if anyone on Forumini has ever played Tide of Iron? If so, how often do you play?

We used to play it. Frankly, we liked AAM better so we kept the maps and got rid of the rest of the games. We had the base set and an expansion set. We found the rules clunky and the turns painfully long and then there were those unbalanced MG teams.

I've never cared much for the official scenarios. We always create our own custom scenarios. You like to play AAM...we use a lot of the models from that game for units in TOI; mostly tanks and AT guns. I'm currently trying to sell off a large portion of my AAM models I don't want.

I have TiO original game plus the D-Day and Russian expansion. I've played 2-3. I liked it and wish I could play it more to get a better feel for the game. I want to get "days of the fox" expansion, along with the scenario book and map expansion. I keep an eye out for them.
