Hey guys,

For those of you who play FOW and use artillery, I have a question:
Is it worth taking all the trucks, radio vehicles, half tracks, or whatever arty movers that a particular book calls for? Also, what exactly do the radio trucks do? I am wanting to get ahold of a four gun battery of the leFH 18 10.5cm howitzers for my Germans and a four gun battery of 25 pounder guns for my British, but is it worth paying the points for the mover vehicles, trucks, etc? I know the idea with arty is to sit still and hammer away but what if you need to relocate? Any thoughts?

it is worth to see the 25pdr set from the Plastic Soldier Company. It comes with a Quad and various versions of the gun, as well as NWE and Africa crews. You can make 4 out of one box

just my two cents

So that PSC set only comes with one quad tractor but four guns? Even with only one quad it would probably be cheaper to get psc over battlefront for the guns. I could always get three more quads for the other guns.

you can build different versions, the set has 4 quads, 4 limbers, 4 guns and 8 crews (4 NWE and 4 N-Africa)

Some Foruminians have bought into the Kickstarter ( unfortunately not me Sad(((((((( ) so they can tell more about it
http://theplasticsoldiercompany.c...h=1_37_39_53&products_id=1284

here you can see the kit... a good price for 21 GBP

Still don't have the set in hand, but it looks like you will be able to build eight different guns out of one package (if you don't mind leaving the base plate travel hanger off of four of them).

Ah, gotchya. That sounds like a really awesome set. Do you guys use any of the arty movers in game? Are they worth the points and money to get all the support vehicles to move the guns around with? Thats my big dilemma. It takes a bit more work to get all the support vehicles for the guns like the radio trucks, White scout cars, opels, quads, etc and I do not know if most players leave the guns sitting the whole game or if it is nessisary to move them around a bit with those vehicles.
