Has any body else noticed this?

There were a total of 16 Officers, 10 Axis, and 6 Allies.
Now if you look at the final four, we have 3 Allies and 1 Axis Player left. Kinda strange Aint it?

What Happened?

Any thoughts?

American fleet is well balanced with excellent aircraft and ships.
The german and Italian fleets are missing so much stuff i.e fighters for german or just planes for Italian.
The Japanese fleet is expensive and is just as easy to kill as anyone else.
Brits lack good planes no match for japs or yanks and no decent heavy crusiers.

I think rather than three allies, one axis, what we have are two americans, one ally, one axis.  Like the previous post said, those Americans have good ships.

And the strongest two admirals, IMHO. Though part of the reason their abilities are so good is they can efficiently capitalize on great ships.

Spruance's ability would be mostly wasted on an Italian fleet, for example.

just make a Renown or Repulse. fills that heavy cruiser nitch nicely. I love when my opponent ignores Renown and she slipps in on a flank  Twisted Evil

Yeah, Germany could use a fighter, land-based ofcourse. As for Italians, they will just have to make do, and they do quite nicely. Americans have an answer to anything, thats the problem.

Their Cruisers Are Expensive.

With the DD rules Now with Subs and BB, Yuki Swarms Are a Viable Option. Especially with Long Lance. 3 Hull Points or 2 against a BB is Huge!

The I-19 is my Favorite Sub. I think Finish him off and Longer range Is better then Wolf Pack and a Kondor's Pin Pointer.

JPN has the Cheapest BB. Kongo 35 pts
Shokaku is cheapest Carrier that can Base 3 planes if I remember

I think Japan and US are Fairly Equal (Cruisers aside)
And they Both Have a BIG boy.

and in fact, in a torpedo or enemy air rich environment Baltimore may be better than Kongo, and its not like Kongo can face up to big enemy battleships anyway

Yup - if the enemy has no battleships, I'll take 3 Baltimores over Washington or Iowa anyday!
