Does shadowing work for ASW attacks also? For example if i was attacking an I-19 with an Avenger, would shadowing add to the ASW roll? _________________

Nope. Shadowing specifies that you choose a Ship, submarines are unit type Submarine. _________________

The closest you can get to shadowing on ASW attacks is the Halifax's ASW Pinpointer SA. Though it's just for ships...not other aircraft. "Ships roll one extra attack die when making ASW attacks against any submarine this unit attacks this turn." _________________

While we're on this topic, I assume it is okay for my Jills, using their range-1 torpedo attack to use Shadowing against X U.S. carrier? _________________

| So far, nothing says you can't boost the Jill's range 1 torpedo attack with Shadowing. The Jill's SA only limits "Expert Torpedoes". |

Does having more that one plane in play stack the dice.
Example:
If you have two Emily's and both pick a carrier in a the same space, does that mean you now have two extra dice? |

No, because Shadowing does not stack. _________________

Right, having two aircraft with Shadowing allows you to pick multiple targets, but you can't get both bonuses on the same target. _________________

Does smoke block the shadowing ability?
Say I have 6 DDs who have laid down smoke around a carrier (I am using a hex map). Would a Shadowing plane have to be in a hex next to the target (meaning a hex with a DD in this example) to get the bonus on the carrier? Or does LOS block this ability? |

Attacks need line of sight, SA's do not (unless they are an attack). _________________
