Post subject: press the attack and dettermined attack

ok i never paid much attention to this untill now but both of these abilities say that if a ships aa aborts this unit it gets to roll a die in an attempt to continue the attack... so does this mean that if a fighter aborts this unit it does not get to press the attack?
