well I think we finished Puncher, then somehow Nabob got drug into it and made everything all squiffy......

Puncher didn't do ASW. Nabob did. That's how Nabob got dragged in. I was just pointing out that she'd get ASW for 10 points, while Puncher got...
Uh-oh! I just realized that I had the wrong name for the card. I meant to say Puncher, not Nabob. Like so...

Fighter Director, Alternate Payload Drill
Fighter Director - Once per turn, you may choose a friendly Fighter within range 3 that aborted or destroyed an enemy Aircraft this turn. That Fighter may move to a sector it's adjacent to that contains an enemy Aircraft and make an Antiair attack with a -1 on each attack die against that Aircraft.

These would fit her history of providing air cover and strike bombers, but they're just suggestions.
Expert Dogfighter for 9 points would probably be the cheapest and easiest way to go.

I'd like to see a card for the Puncher. Given her history, I don't agree with giving her Expert ASW, and I'm still not sure about Outstanding Air Support. I think she should get something Fighterish and something Bombery. If you don't like Fighter Director and Alternate Payload Drill, there are lots of other SA's on the Guidelines to choose from. Any suggestions?

Wow! That's a nice portrait shot, and the stats and scores look right. As for the SA's, WaS gets 'em wrong all the time too, so I'll just heave a sigh and move on. 
At least Outstanding Air Support is useful. Let's say I've got the Puncher and the Ark Royal, with one Hurricane and three Swordfish squadrons. Ark Royal gives a fighter bonus to the Hurricanes, and a torpedo bonus to one of the Swordfish. Puncher gives a borrowed torpedo bonus to the second Swordfish, and gives its own ASW bonus to the third. By bringing the Canadians along, it seems the British, or the Americans, will get the most for their money.
