nice pieces in there as usual.
I like the PAK40's artillery pieces! I see you have 2, wanna trade one? |
Not at this point, but maybe in the future!
(PP could certainly make you some - He just needs a PAK 40 and a v1 Nashorn) |
Yeah, I'm in for some of those as well. Very nice looking! |

Bean,
Tonight we met and I pulled out this scenario and the Mist/Fog one you wrote. We looked over the games and decided we would have to postpone our playtest till we had more time to read all the special rules. I have to admit...there are a tone of setup and special rules to abide by which make a quick game or a weekly game night difficult to find time to fit this all in.
I still want to playtest the scenarios, however my playtest will have to wait till my son and I can set this up on a weekend day.
My ony advice so far is keep it simple. No more than a couple set up and a couple special rules per scenario. More to follow.... _________________ Custom Painted Minis: http://riversidegaming.myfastforum.org/forum52.php

Thanks Snip - read ya loud and clear. The "mist/fog" one is really for players who are sick of the "same old game" and want something VERY different. That's why I put the disclaimer at the beginning to warn folks. I guarantee it's a trip to play though. Lots of dramatic tension as LOSs are revealed and things go awry.
I just posted the final, first scenario in that series, which has no special rules, only a slightly unusual set of victory conditions. _________________

Basic terrain (hills, villages, forest etc.) can be found in the base set of memoir '44. The terrain pack-which is what you guys are reffering to- basically has some more exotic terrain types as well as some desert hills, oases, marshes etc. |

Snip, I don't know if you guys looked at St. Vith, or if you'd already spent too much time considering A Hazy, Boggy Crossing, but I was lookng at it again last night and would put a plug in for it for your group. It only has one special rule - movement rolls to avoid paying double cost for movement due to heavy snow - and a couple of SAs - "dug in" and "exposed trasport" applied to units which don't normally have them.
And, since I didn't say so in my last email, I really appreciate your efforts.
You're not that far away from me - we should get together and game some weekend... _________________
