In our game we forgo the timer for the first two turns on the first game because everyone (except me) was just getting familiar with the rules.

Im trying to find a few rules carifications not listed, maybe you guys can answer for me?

1) Does the flamer template affect all hexes it touches, so on a falmer shot I can kill up to 9 genestealers?

2) Im a little confused with blips. I place blips off board, can I then immediately convert them and move them on board?

or,

must blips be moved on board unconverted?

Is it true that you can convert blips at the start of your turn and then move them in the same turn?

Any body else have anything they ran into that I might in the future?

The rulebook doesn't help out when they refer to 'map sections'.  Based on the FAQ I think they mean 'board sections.'  Basically one jigsaw puzzle piece of the board.  In any event we've been playing it this way for the flamer.

I believe the answer is yes based on rules on p16 for Voluntary Conversion.  Also, based on the FAQ it sounds like you can covert them and lurk them off the board too.

Q:  Is there a limit on how many Genestealer models may lurk in each entry area?

these faqs are one of the problems Im having trouble.

It states in the faq that on p.11 of the rulebook, the genestealer cannot see the 2 hexes marked x, which are directly in front of it but off to the side, then on p.13, it says the spacemarine figure can see the exact same hexes in a different example, as he can see the genestealer behind the door.

It doesn't say anywhere in the book that genestealers and space marines have different LOS rules, so why?

Also, with my flamer question, it says the template affects whole rooms/ corridors, but doesn't specify to roll to kill any model affected?

GW makes the worst rule books, and even worse clarifications Sad

just like on page 4 it says that a blip is ONLY revealed when a spacemarine sees it, yet there are voluntary conversion rules on p.16 heh

ok, after re-reading the flamer rule its clear that " section " would mean whole map piece and every model is subject to a 2+ death.

Still dont know if I can reveal and move in same turn,

or if I can reveal after blip is placed off map and then move.

One more question too:

Its the genestelers turn. On one side of the door is a marine, the other , a blip. Can I open the door with my blip? What type of reveal is it, voluntary or involuntary? Can I then move forward and attack assuming no overwatch and no command points are used?

I'm a newb, but on page 16 of the rules it states:
"Blips cannot move into a Space Marine's line of sight". Since you haven't moved your blip, but used an action point to open the door I think that would be ok. Now the Space Marine has LoS to the blip so it's Involuntary Conversion into Genestealer model(s) and the appropriate placement rules apply. Since the blip activated on the turn (opening the door)the Genestealers that were placed may not activate this turn.

Space Hulk is a lot of fun played solo too. The genestealers wont move into LOS unless they have at least one chance at getting into close quarters. Makes sense.

I believe it was in Deathwing too that some of the blips hid 6 genestealers! I'm getting those out too. Very Happy

We played Space Hulk last night. we played "purifiction"  well that's the french name.

i was about to win, having lost 70% of my space marines already, and Valentin stole the victory on the last corner! Sad
