I have to admit, I'm looking forward to seeing these paint jobs. If RB thinks there that good, then I'm betting we are gonna see some sexy ships this set. _________________ -Greyh

I've seen that said of ugly sisters before also. Applying a lot of makeup doesn't hide all flaws. Beer helps though. _________________ formerly Polish_Horsy on A&A minis website

I was wondering how long it would take the French contingent to notice! As ND said, there was a lot of lobbying for this with R.B. and he listened. I hope we see the Bearn too. If the Germans and Italians can have a carrier the French should certainly have theirs. _________________

Now that you mention it, it does seem a little silly that the Germans get a carrier that never existed before the French get theirs that did. _________________

Well, not really if you look at the 'big picture' of balancing forces/opportunities for the Axis versus the Allies. _________________

Not to mention te France (and Italy) are flip flop nations.
Balance wise, Germany was teh best Pure Axis Nation to give the CV too. Hopefully they will be getting another one (Sedylitz and Europa would make me very happy) |

My real concern is whether there will be more than one Japanese carrier ... _________________

Or we do it then like Dagobert Duck, buy the entire company and fire those who to be in authority for releasing just one IJN carrier in set III _________________

My guess is that we're going to get Soryu and Zuiho in Set III, but not the two or three fleet carriers we want. _________________

| It's all about balance, and making the nations playable on thier own I think. I hope the french do get a carrier, fighter and bomber so they can be set up in thier own scenarios... |

Logically Zuiho and Soryu are good possiblities,
I think another small CV, such as Ryujo, or Junyo is also possible.
Furthermore, I believe Hermes will be out for england. What with the Prince of Wales and Repulse coming out../.. |

I think we will get Courageous or Glorious. That gives him a reprint.
Zuiho would be a logical reprint, but there are really not that many slots for reprints in Set III. Especially for uncommons. I wouldn't be surprised if Soryu was the only IJN carrier is Set III. It is a small set after all. And the Axis also get the Aquila. If he does another new sculpt for the IJN I think Junyo/Hiyo is a good candidate because the IJN needs a capacity 2 carrier. Plus they were extensively used in the war. I suspect (hope) after all the fuss we have made about IJN carriers we will get two new sculpts in Set IV. I think it will be Junyo/Hiyo (if not is Set III) and another CV - either Hiryu, Kaga, or Taiho. _________________

I think he's holding onto Kaga for a rainy day. Since it was one of the Pearl Carriers.
It's on the list of "we will see it one day"
Zuiho is going to be somewhere...maybe even the new starter. Since it is a very pretty unit. That would certinaly grab the eyes of a potential player.
I say Hermes because UK other capital ships are indian ocean residents now. And it just seem slike Hermes goes better with those two. Give UK a base 1 carrier that can take a beating. |

I'm just glad that Soryu will allow us to make the original Kido Butai for game play. We have Akagi, Shokaku, and Zuikaku, and if we get Soryu that would be four. Then you can make a reasonable facsimile of Kaga from Akagi and a reasonable facsimile of Hiryu from Soryu. _________________
