Post subject: Forumini'09 Creativity: Challenge #5 of 10 (Deadline 14 May)
|
|
|
In the style of a magazine article, write a review of a historical game/ruleset other than AAM or WAS (e.g. DBM, FoG, VaS, Shako, WoW, A&A, ...)
The text/images/videos used must all be yours.
It doesn't have to be World War 2 and it doesn't have to be a miniature game, but it must be historical (not sci-if/fantasy, ...). Take as much space as you need.
Deadline: 14 May 2009, 23.59 US Pacific Time
After the deadline, we will vote for the winners. The scores for every creativity challenge is:
1st 10 pts, 2nd 8, 3rd 7, 4th 6, 5th 4, 6th 3, 7th 2, 8th 1
YOU MUST NOT COMMENT ON ANY OF THESE ENTRIES before the deadline.
Post here your entries or clarification questions. Not comments. _________________

Yea, I have the same questions as RedBaron, I'd love to do a review of a historical video game. _________________ "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak, Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." - Churchill

A review of a game. If you have invented it yourselves, then that's ok too, but it's the review that we'll vote for. Not the game.
Sure, it can be a historical videogame too. _________________

Now what if I created a video game for a school project that is historical, could I review that?
(BTW I'm trying to get this game developed) _________________ "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak, Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." - Churchill

Only if your game is available for everyone to download by 13 May 2009, 23.59 US Pacific Time. No point reviewing something that people can't play. _________________

Haha, okay that won't be happening, it may be another year, or two. But we could review like a Call Of Duty game? Or is that not historical enough? _________________ "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak, Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." - Churchill

Hm, would Assassins Creed be okay? Technically it is medieval times so it is historical. If not I call dibs on....Blazing Angels:Squadrons of WWII. _________________ "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak, Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." - Churchill

Computer games are ok too, but I'm sure boardgames and miniature games are more highly regarded in our forum.
In any case, make sure all text/images/videos are yours and that the game belongs to the historical genre.
As far as I know, Assassin's Creed isn't a historical game, but if you can prove otherwise with your review, go ahead. _________________

All I know is that it is based in the HOly Land during the Crusades. I think I understand now, it has to be like a historical event that actually happened? _________________ "Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak, Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen." - Churchill
