Post subject: WAS Deathmatch Darkness tournament
|
|
|
The online map and the rules:
ND's Deathmatch Rules
FAQ:
* Are objectives ever removed from the game?
- No, never. You keep getting 3 pts each turn from each objective you control.
* Do I need to keep a ship next to an objective to keep earning pts?
- No, you have control of an objective until you lose it.
* Can I deploy a USS Laffey or a Hellcat twice?
- No, you cannot deploy any unit more than once in a game.
* Who declares first what he buys in each turn?
- For fairness, use the following rule:
"The one who won the initiative declares whether and what he'll buy this turn. Then the player who lost the initiative."
* Do you begin with control of the island on your side of the map?
- Yes, you do.
* Do units with "Infiltrate" begin at your side's starting point or can they deploy anywhere?
- Anywhere, but they can't attack during the first turn that they appear.
* Do units with "turn 1" abilities get to use them only on the first turn of the game or the first turn they are in play? (e.g. Zeke, Koln, ...)
- The first turn they appear in the game.
This is a DARKNESS rules tournament. All games with be played in darkness (we won't roll for this; it will always be darkness). We use the latest (Feb. 29 I think) revised rules.
The event is for 16 players.

You can sign-up here. You don't have to declare sides. You'll toss a coin for that before each game starts. _________________

When does registration start and will there be commitments like length of time between moves or something? _________________

So, do I sign you up packertim?
Darkness rules are in the latest clarifications document. http://www.wizards.com/avalonhill/rules/War_at_Sea_Clarifications.pdf
Also, make sure you check the new deathmatch rules (first post here), because there are some slight modifications, as a result of the feedback that the players provided after the last tournament. _________________

I supposed I'd like to play, however, I'm not privy to War at Sea rules and I'll be gone the 5th through the 11th in April.
If you think I'll still be able to add to the competition, sign me up! |
