Just so everyone knows, Litko has a fairly new item that might help out those looking to buy the A&AM marker set. As I mentioned before, the marker set comes with only 5 of each marker which is fine for small battles but not enough for larger battles. But 10 of each counter is too much for some types (Rearming for instance). You can purchase a custom token pack for $20. This pack lets you select the color, shape and text of all 20 of the tokens you get. So you can just get the type of tokens you need and avoid building up a bunch of those that you don't need (objectives or rearming). Here's the link:

I did'nt get the tokens set since I will likely need to order 4 or 5 at once anyway so I'll split it up over several purchases. |
I think you are dead on about the tokens. I don't normally play large games, 300 was my largest, but I play with people who don't own stuff and I like to have enough for everyone. I have 4 starters worth of stuff and find having the extra dice and tokens to be useful.
I'll probably have to order 2 more token sets and 3 more smoke screens to be truly content. Part of me is also curious about the GF9 ones knowing I will likely be inclined to purchase a token set from them when the time comes. _________________

Some of the donation money for the Olympics we intend to use for Litko tokens as prizes. Especially these blast ones are applicable in both AAM and WAS. _________________

It looks like their site is having problems. I couldn't get into their main page either. I'll keep checking and let you know if the above link still works after their site is working normally again. _________________ Trade List at:

Maybe GF9 DDoSed them. I'm joking, of course I wouldn't suggest another corporation would engage in illegal activity such as initiating DDoS attacks against a competitor. Yay for the disclaimer. _________________

So you are the one to blame. I hope they processed my order before your shenanigans caused all of the disruptions. Blame the Scot they're always at fault. _________________

The Rain Squalls are beautiful, but do need to be glued
The Mines are opaque and a bit smaller than many of the normal WAS tokens, but I like them |

Hi all,
Any of you tried www.frpgames.com ?
They usually have a 20% off on most games, accessories etc.
And be warned, you might lose hours if not days looking through their stuff.

I agree with what was said above regarding the rain squalls. They need to be glued, and I accidentally broke one trying to put it together. Considering how expensive they are, it was unfortunate. _________________

The small smoke screen markers are pretty useful. They also happen to be the cheapest size. And that token set Litko offers for WaS is pretty nice, too.
The only thing I wish they would come down on is their prices, especially shipping. But the quality of the product is usually top-notch. Litko's custom-cut bases are really useful for 1:3000 ships. _________________

Our gaming club just bought several packs of the mines. They are perfect for the new SA. The rain squalls look fantastic on the table, but you do need to be a little careful when gluing them together. They are pretty rugged, but you have to watch the tabs. I found it necessary to cut the tabs down a little with a hobby knife to get the pieces to fit properly. _________________

I intend to order some additional tokens from them within the next week. I'm sure they're "as good as the rest" of the tokens... I mean, we're talking about little etched plastic pieces here, not complex machinery. |

Well, inspired by NuclearLunchbox's post elsewhere, here's what I'm thinking to do
EXISTING CHITS:
1-damage: Mini Blast (NL), Micro Blast (me)
2-damage: Mini Splash (NL), Mini Blast (me)
Crippled: Mini Smoke (NL), Micro Smoke or Mini Smoke (me, small and large ships respectively)
Destroyed: Small Flaming Wreckage (NL), SFW or Flak (me, ship or plane respectively)
Abort: inverted Strafe (NL), undetermined (me)
Rearming: Ammo (NL--I agree)
Objective: Alert (NL), undetermined (me)
ADDITIONAL CHITS (except as noted, my additions to the list)
Torpedo Hit: Torp with Mini Blast on top (Micro Blast for Long Lance; torp to be replaced with appropriate Mini/Micro/combo damage at end of turn)
Strafing: NL and I agree on Strafing token
Minefield: we agree on Mines token
1x/game SA Used: Jammed Scanner on card
Scouted Target: Amber Scanner
Marked by Shadowing/Pinpointer/ASW Pintpointer: Smoke Scanner
Eligible target for Excellent Spotting: Mini Splash
ASW Harassment: one Blue Scanner per harassment
Run Silent: Jammed Scanner on sub
Slow roll failed: undetermined
NIGHT RULES ADDITIONS
Spotted Target: Green Scanner
Illuminated Target: Micro Flame
Anyone have any suggested refinements? _________________ <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
